To the Chairman and Guardians of the Holywell Union.
My Lord & Gentlemen,
We, the teachers of the Holywell & Rhyl District Association, part of which is comprised in the Holywell Union, humbly wish to draw your attention to the great injustice of the recent regulations of the Education Act whereby teachers are compelled to fill up certain returns for the Local Authorities. This entails upon us heavy & extra work which has to be done out of school hours, & for which no payment is made.
We most respectfully beg you to take our case to your favourable consideration in the earnest hopes that some remuneration be granted us for this extra labour.
The following Local Authorities have granted payments, Banbury, Boston, Dover, Gainsborough: Louth: Market Harborough: Newark: St. Ives: Scarborough; & Weymouth.
