William Roberts: Bill - Known as Warrior"

We think that Bill "Warrior" Roberts is wearing the uniform of the Royal Buckley Town Band.

Bill Roberts, Bill Warrior, ran The Bill Roberts' Dance Band. No one seems to know why he was called Warrior. He played in the Royal Buckley Town Band.

He contracted trench foot in WWII. He died age 61 in 1948.

Third from left in the back row. We think this is Bill "Warrior". He was the deputy conductor of the band with Jim Griffiths - Hotspot: Griffiths, James, 1864 - 1945.
