1910
My Grandparents.
Flossie Collins, nee Edwards, died in 1919, aged 29 of the flu. She left four children who were brought up by various relatives. Her husband, Samuel Collins (1888 - 1924), was a policeman in Port Sunlight but after their marriage, she was homesick for Buckley, so they returned and he then worked in the steelworks, where he died of an accident aged 36. He was 6'4" tall and a gantry swung out and killed him, only injuring a colleague who was shorter.
This photo was probably taken on her 21st birthday.
