The house was situated near the junction of Globe Way at the turn off to the current recycling centre (7. 2011).

 

The previous house had been situated firther up the hill and it fell into the Etna Clayhole. This replacement was built in c.1910. Jacob Griffiths worked as the foreman. Mary Elizabeth Griffiths, nee Mitchell, daughter, was born there.

Gilbert Tarran was the last person to live there. It as been demolished.
