In 1910 Sarah Ann Bunting a ceramic artist from Stoke was persuaded by the Hurlbutt brothers, who owned the Globe Brick and Tile works to move to Buckley to work at the Globe works where she made tiles in similar fashion to potteries in Staffordshire. Jacob Griffiths was the Manager of the Globe works and Davison's Top Brickworks at the time.
The tiles were produced under the Trademark 'Antesque'.
After the Globe works closed down Sarah Ann Bunting moved to Mold and became Licensee of the White Lion near the Bailey Hill.
