I joined the drama group in 1954. It was formed in 1946 and continued until the mid 1960s.

John Clifford Jones was the director.

Pat Blake was the curate at Saint Matthew's Church.

Helen Nield, nee Birks, was the niece of Fred Birks, V.C. and the sister of Fred Birks.
