Mrs Bellis had a sweet shop at the Cross, next to Lloyd's Bank on Mold Road.

The Mrs Bellis on the left (mother-in-law to the above), collected the blood from the pig from our house after slaughter. The slaughterman had a row with Mrs Bellis, so on one visit he kicked over the bucket so that she went without the blood!
