In the foreground of this photo is :

1.70, Brunswick Road - a house built by the parents of Bessie Fox (nee Coles) with her husband William Fox and children Rene, Hilda and Neville.

2.Next door at No. 72 - accommodation provided for Mr Tom and Mrs Mary Griffiths (nee Coles) known by the family as Polly and children - Norman, Beatrice, Maldwyn, Gilbert and Bessie.

3.Then No. 74 where Mr Arthur and Mrs Beatrice Griffiths (nee Coles) resided with daughter Joyce.

4.At the end of the row, No. 76. A house and shop where Mr and Mrs Coles lived with son Reginald and daughter Marjorie who were born later in the life of the family.

The house in the foreground of this photograph is 70, Brunswick Road, a house at the western end of a row of four houses and a shop. This row was purposely built by Mr J. and Mrs M. Coles, drapers, for themselves and their three daughters, Mary, Beatrice and Bessie, to live in. This row was designed and built by R. D. Davies and Son.

 

p.s. Later in life, Margaret had two more children, Reginald and Marjorie.

 

Also on page 63 is a photograph of Robert Roberts's shop in Brunswick Road. This was No. 78, next door to the draper's shop. Robert was a brother to Margaret! (1.336 on this archive).
