The choir took a trip every year after the Tabernacle anniversary. They were there when WW1 broke out and they had to get home as quickly as they could. When they arrived at the boat, there was a huge queue. They sang to the waiting people, making their way down towards the start of the queue. Everyone clapped and they walked onto the boat.

 

Ernest Jones and his brother are on this photo. I have forgotten his brother's name and which was which. (marked by JONES, (?) in the hotspot)
