INTRODUCTION TEXT
On behalf of the Buckley Amateur BOXING Club and the Northern Division of the W.A.B.A., I am pleased to be able to welcome you to our first Tournamnet. The Club has only been formed a few months, but thanks to the untiring efforts of our trainer Mr J. Mullen, and Honorary Secretary Mr L. Towell we have already quite a number of really good local prospects, some of which you will be privileged to see in action tonight.
Our President, Mr Will Shone and myself, together with officials, committee and members of the Buckley Club take this opportunity to thank the officials of the Northern Division for staging this tournament on our behalf. To our friends, neighbours and competitors we extend our real appreciation, and wish them 'Good Boxing'. To the Education Authorities and all who have helped to make the Tournament possible, we are extremely grateful. We extend our sincere thanks to our long list of Vice-Presidents for their moral and material support.
Finally, to our patrons who have supported us this evening, many thanks for your interest, and we wish you continued good health, and good sport for the future,
Yours sincerely
BERT DOLBY,
Chairman Buckley A.B.A.
