Dear Mr. Rowlands,

At the Monthly Meeting of the Town Council held last (Tuesday) evening reference was made to your retirement from the Headmastership of the Buckley County Primary School and I was asked to convey to you the Town Council's sincere appreciation of your unstinted work as Headmaster you have exercised in the administration of the School. Under your guidance and control the 'Board' School is and has always been recognised as one of the foremost County Primary School in the Local Education Authority's area and its success and reputation is due in no small measure to your good self and your teaching colleagues.

Many tributes will have been paid to you and every member and Officer of the Town Council wish to whole heartedly endorse these congratulatory tributes.

It is also the Town Council's wish to extend to you and Mrs. Rowlands every good wish for a long and happy retirement and that the New Year and the years to follow will bring you both many hours of happiness particularly in the knowledge that your careers have done so much in the education of the young.
