THE FUTURE?
Today, this is an area of extensively grazed farmland, poor in wildlife habitats and offering little in the way of recreation amenity.
This plan is a suggestion of what could be provided as a Restoration Scheme after working.
It gives an improved landscape, a diverse range of wildlife habitats and areas of conservation along with an enhanced footpath system for informal recreational use by the local community.
The achievement of this restoration depends on control of the land, i.e. ownership. The Executive are actively pursuing purchase and would wish to leave such a scheme but as yet cannot guarantee it and even securing ownership successful planning application would be required.
