William Kendrick's Cow Horn Box"

Buckley

1847

These cow horn boxes were purchased by itinerant salesmen who touted their wares in the pubs etc. and wrote the messages to order. The box is approx. 4" x 3" x 1". The red substance used to inscribe the personalised message is very bright and clear. Nothing is known about William Kendrick but the box has remained in his family.
