The family lived in Brook View, the house next to Brook House, Bryn Road. The photo was taken in the garden there.

Emily Fuller was an aunt to Edith Hughes, my mother: and a sister to my grandfather, Timothy Hughes.

Jim Hughes was Edith's brother. Edith lived at Brook View.

I remember in the 1930s, the community water supply was via a tap on the part of the common near Red Road, near to where the post box is today. People paid rates to enable them to have a key to turn on the tap, otherwise they had to collect water from the brook.
