Miners' Lamp belonging to William Hopwood"

The lamp is silver plated on brass and was a deputy's lamp. William Hopwood was Thomas Hopwood's father. It was found in Ollive Hayes' shed.

 

The inscription is:

Mr William Hopwood

Manager

Buckley Collieries Nr. Chester

 

The maker's inscriptions is:

W. Mills & Co.
