My Darling Brother
Just a few lines hoping you are in the pink as this letter leaves me in time of writing. Well have you had a shot at the Huns yet because I know you were simply dying to how do you like them would you like one for a brother?
I am sure they are awfully nice. Harry you will be sorry to hear ? Astbury from by Auntie Pennie died this morning from the flu and Rowlands from the Lane End who used to be at the Palace you know him I think very nearly everybody over here is down with it and an awful lot died with it oh Auntie Bertha has it too. Well dear brother you will be glad to know Dada came out the best shot in Buckley in the Shooting Contest on Saturday. He is pleased I think. Your wristlet watch did it because he had it on and was here for half an hour on Saturday morning trying to see the time with not being used to them it was fun to see him you ought to have been here. I suppose you know C. Kelsall is over from France he told us he was talking to you out there and you seemed to be doing fine. We are doing our best to get you some cigs and as soon as we do you shall have them. Well Harry I think I have told you all the news at present.
