Soldiers stopping for refreshments"

8 August 1944

Emily and Mary were sisters in law. Tommy was a brother in law to Edwin Humphreys and Mary's husband. They lived in Rose Lane, Mynydd Isa.

Mary's son, Edwin Dunn, was a mojor in the Army and he was stationed in Malta when the Germans invaded and he was awarded the George Cross.

Soldiers were stationed close by and when they passed the house, they knew they could stop for a cuppa.
