My dear Sister

Just a few lines in answer to your letter which I received during the week. Hope you are in the best of health as it leaves me in the pink. We are having some awful weather here now. It is raining like old boots now. Are you going to send me some Jubillee (sic) cake. I hope you don't forget me and send me some writing paper will you? Have you got the hay in yet? I hope you have had a good crop. How did you like the Jubillee? I really wished I could have come home for it but it was no use of course. Well dear Maud we are in our ninth weeks training now so I don't think it will be long before we get leave. We have just come from church parade and I am wet through. Well Maud I have not much more to tell you but I will write a longer letter next time. Well I will conclude with my fondest regards and best love hoping to hear from you soon.

I remain your loving brother

Harry

Remember me to Dick and L. Kirk and all at Home. Write soon.

Don't forget to send some writing paper, will you?

Harry XXXXXX
