Buckley "Warships Week", 7-14 March1942. The British Legion and Voluntary Aid Detachment are seen marching along Mold Road on 7 March. Buckley had adopted the mine-sweeper HMS Foxtrot and during this week raised £65,322 towards its purchase and equipping. Fund-raising events included parades of the military, Civil Defence, and Home Guard, and a public meeting of eminent speakers (including Lloyd George) at the Tivoli theatre.
