This painting depicts a scene in about 1948.

 

THE GLYNNE ARMS DRURY FROM THE OLD BUCKLEY RAILWAY

 

The picture depicts a N5 Class tank engine of the L.N.E.R.

outside Shone's Brickyard, shunting wagons, and about to

return to Buckley junction and Wrexham.

The engine belongs to Wrexham shed, and was

Driven by Walter Jones of Church Road, Buckley.

The guards on this line were

Lawrence Downey and Harold Reeves

Both of Buckley
