In July, 1871, the Buckley Circuit, which hitherto had formed part of the Chester Circuit, became an independent station. In this year of Jubilee, therefore, we would place on record our profound sense of gratitude to Almighty God for the measure of prosperity the Circuit has enjoyed. The past comes to us as an example and a benediction, and it should be an inspiration. While acknowledging its many blessings we believe "the best is yet to be." We therefore affectionately urge all members and adherents to a new consecration and a deeper faith that we may "attempt great things for God and expect great things from God."
