The tube on the back table is an old Vim container. I can remember in my first class in school (not Buckley!) using these to pour sand into the sandpit. The metal top had several round holes which could have been designed for this purpose. At that age, the container seemed huge and the sandpit seemed vast. Nevertheless, most of the sand ended up on the floor. Great fun!
