Amy Panton's WWI Ration Book "

57, Chester Road, Buckley

7 November 1918

This WWI National Ration Book (Number172534) was issued by the Ministry of Food to Amy Panton, aged about 6, on 7th November 1918. There were pages of coupons for different foods, such as meat which were green. Jam coupons were pink and this was the only full page of foods still in the book, so maybe Amy hated jam! The back page was for the details of the retailers of the various foods:

Name and Address of Butcher: ?

" Bacon Retailer: A. Everall, Buckley

" Butter and Margarine Retailer: "

" Lard Retailer: "

" Sugar Retailer: "

" Tea Retailer: "

Plus two empty spaces for other foodstuffs.
