Frank and Maria Panton were married in 1899. He was from Sheffield but settled in Buckley as a hairdresser. The first shop was in Chester Road; the family left for Sheffield in about 1910. He ran his second Buckley shop from 53, Chester Road (James Bentley's original pharmacy).
In Bennett's Business Directory for Buckley 1913 - 14, the entry reads: "Pantin F hairdresser, Chester rd".
In Benett's Business Directory for Buckley 1936, the entry reads:
"Panton F, hairdresser, The Square".
Their children were: Pattie, Harry, Bessie, Mary (Molly), Amy and Ona. Molly and her husband ran Fennah's chippy on Daisy Hill in the 1950s.
