Wedding of Leigh and Ann Hughes"

1947

Ann's maiden name was Evans. She lived before her marriage in Liverpool Road. They lived originally down Alltami Road, near Roberts' Bakery. Leigh, Nora and Edward's mother was a daughter of John Roberts from the bakery. Leigh and Edward were twins. When the family moved to Padeswood Road in about1936 -7, they moved house on a horse and cart playing the harmonium as they came up the road.

 

Ann and Leigh lived in Rose Lane. He was an electrician at the aircraft factory and she worked in the county council offices in Mold.

 

(Leigh, Nora and Edward had an older brother called Roy - ed.)
