Skateboard Park English Sign"

The skateboard park, the largest in Flintshire, opened on Thursday 6th October 2005. The park cost £130,000 and was officially opened by the Mayor of Buckley Town Council, Cllr Howie Jones. Local youngsters had been consulted and were involved with the design and layout.

 

The funding came from A & D Waste, Flintshire Community Trust, Barclays - Space for Sports and Buckley Town Council. Also involved were the Children and Young People's Framework Partnership and Groundwork Flintshire.

 

Times of use: 9.00 til 9.30 p.m.

 

After the opening ceremony, when a ribbon tied across the front of the park was cut, refreshments were served in the bowling club pavilion.
