A poster on the Palace Cinema is for the film "Wink of an Eye." It was a United Artists' B film issued on 11th November 1958. It starred Jonathan Kidd and Doris Dowling and was the story of a perfumier who plans to murder his wife with the help of his secretary. The UK release was in the second half of December 1958 so that its showing in the Palace would have been sometime in 1959. This has helped us date the photo.
It is possible that the photo was taken some time after the Palace closed in which case the film would have been one of the last to be shown there.
