These were my maternal grandparents. His nickname was Tommy Fat! He ran Higher House Farm in Pentrobin, where I was born, and he used to go to Wrexham in a pony and trap to market to sell greengrocery. He had a natural sandpit in a field which he used to sell. It was called the "sand hole".
