CERTIFICATE TEXT - ENGLISH WORDING
On behalf of the people of the Kingdom of the Netherlands the National Committee "Thank You Canada and Allied Forces" has awarded the Medal of Remembrance "Thank You Liberators 1945" to:

As a token of gratitude for contributing to the Liberation of the Netherlands during World war II.

An accompanying letter, dated 16th December 2005 and sent from the Defence Department of the Dutch Embassy, stated: "On behalf of the people of the Netherlands the National Committee "Thank You Canada and Allied Forces", I have the honour to present you with the distinction "Thank You Liberators" together with the certificate.
"This medal is awarded to the liberators of the Kingdom of the Netherlands as a token of the gratitude of the Dutch people to those servicemen and women who actually took part in librating the territory of the Kingdom of the Netherlands."
A factsheet enclosed with the medal and certificate stated:
In the year 2000 the National Committee "Thank You Canada and Allied Forces" decided to issue a commemoration medal in recognition of the devotion and sacrifices of the allied veterans, who actually took part in the liberation of the Netherlands in 1944 / 1945.
Two kinds of commemoration medals were made:
The 1st medal:
......"Thank you Canada" commemoration medal......
The 2nd medal
The "Thank You Liberators" commemoration medal, which is meant for the liberators
from other allied countries, the USA, Great Britain and Poland, who took part in the
liberation of the Netherlands. The emblem on the medal symbolises the wings of a windmill. This wing is formed by the flags of the four allied countries which took part in the liberation of the Netherlands. .....
