Jack Griffiths"

Jack Griffiths was my paternal great grandad, who played the trombone when the Royal Buckley Town Band was first formed. I believe he was the first trombone player in Flintshire, my dad, Noah, following some years later.

Jack Griffiths' son, James married May Humphreys.

They had two sons, John (Jack) and Noah, my father, and five daughters three of whom were Lily, Elsie and Doris.

My maternal grandparents were Thomas (1850 - 1926) and Sarah Ann Griffiths.

They had fourteen children - two of the daughters were Gertie (1895 - 1988), my mother, and Rose. Rose was a teacher at the Board School who died c.1921.
