Tommy Hill outside Hill's Ironmongers"

Alfred Hill was my grandfather. He married Annie (nee Hill) at the Free Church in Mold in February 1914. He was 24, she was 23. His profession was stated as platelayer. His father was Charles Hill; hers was Thomas Hill, both colliers.

 

Alf and Annie Hill had four daughters:

Winnie, Olwen, Mary and Annie, and two sons,

Charlie and Tommy.

Tommy is the boy in the photo, aged about eight. Tommy died in WWII. There are more details on him on this archive.
