The series of four photos in the archive of Stuart Millward's plaques in the new University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology show his work in the context of the building as a whole. These were above the main entrance.

The top wheel-shaped plaque was moulded.

The lower one was carved free-hand. At the top centre of the design is a mother holding an infant.
