To Whom it may concern

I have to say that the bearer of this testimonial Mr H. Lewis has been in my employ almost constantly for the past 14 years. He served his apprenticeship from a boy, past on from improver to full journeyman in 6 years. He is very competent, trustworthy and Able Craftsman. He possesses intelligence well above the average standard.

Mr Lewis has on several occasions taken complete charge of large contracts for me, being an excellent time-keeper and able to control men. He is a most keen and energetic young man and willing at all times to co-operate with the various trades in connection with the Building Department.

I cannot speak too highly of his general moral character and can strongly recommend him to any position of trust and responsibility.

I wish him every success in his endeavours

Yours faithfully

T.E.D. Hibbert
