Mary Shone, nee Peters, (died 1906) was Maria Panton's mother. She had four children of whom Maria was the youngest. Maria's eldest sister, Charlotte, was a maid at Saint Matthew's vicarage. She died when she was 19. See 191.22 for a letter of condolance on Charlotte's death in 1880.
