Harry Edwards (1923 - 1945), Mold Road, Buckley, worked for Mr T. E. D. Hibbert as a bricklayer before WW II. He volunteered for service with H.M. Submarines in the early part of the war but unfortunately was killed on active service in the waters of Singapore, while serving in operations in the Far East against Japan.
