Hanson's Milk Bottle, delivered to Buckley Schools"

1935

This third of a pint milk bottle has "Hanson's School Services" written around its body and "FGW" on its base (Fosters Glass Works). Hanson's operated locally from Sandycroft, with the headquarters in Liverpool. The tops were of waxed cardboard; the size of these tops was changed from 44mm to 38 mm because they were cheaper. The cardboard tops collected water and dirt so were replaced by the foil ones.
