The Reverend Daniels was the Methodist Minister.

 

Ephraim Jackson died in October 2008, aged 89. After school he worked at Green and Padgett's bakery in Daisy Hill. He joined the army during WWII and then worked for a baker in Caergwrle, later returning to Buckley upon buying Green and Padgett's which by this time had moved to Mold Road. He was chairman of the Buckley Urban District Council in 1965 and was later elected to Alyn and Deeside. He served as a magistrate for a number of years and was one of the first members of the Buckley Residents' Association. He was an elder of Saint John's Church where his funeral service took place on Monday 3rd November.
