Wilfred Owens' General Service Medal"

I applied this medal in November 2003 and received it in February 2005, after a delay of only 50 years!

General Service medal for 1953 - 4 in the Suez Canal Zone - Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME).

The best thing I had out of my national service was a fortnight in Cyprus for £7!
