The Buckley Society received a lottery grant to fund the setting up of a web site and the production of a bumper issue of the Buckley Society Magazine in the millennium year. The launch of the web site took place at the library with local councillors Ken Iball, Neville Phillips, Ron Hampson and Ivor Roberts, Chairman of Flintshire County Council's Education, Libraries and Archives Committee.
