Hand drawn plan showing the residents' names of Lodging House Lane, now known as Coppa View"

Coppa View, Buckley

1930

This plan and 88.9 was drawn from memory by my mother. She lived at Ivy Cottage, Brunswick Road but knew the residents because of the children she went to school with. It shows the lay out of houses before demolition in Lodging House Lane. The Lodging House was owned by the Brannan family. The same location is now known as Coppa View. Several of the residents from these houses, which my mother named from memory, were re-housed in new houses in Lyme Grove when they were first built.

Ed.- The following was noted from the drawing as accurately as possible:

Number 1 - Lodging House

Number 2 - Crofts

Number 3 - Griffiths

Number 4 - Flo's

Number 5 - Emily's

Davison; Bob Wilson; Ted Barlow; Connie Parry: Bonzer's

Author: Hewitt, Lelia
