Jubilee Centenary Badge"

This tin badge measuring 3cm. in diameter was given to Sunday School children participating in the 1957 Jubilee procession to commemorate the Centenary of the Buckley Jubilee. It was rescued from a second hand goods shop in Connah's Quay during the 1980s by Vic Williams, local historian. He gave it to me and I have since given it to the Jubilee Committee with his permission.

Leviticus Chapter 25 Verse 9 reads:-

'Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land'
