BUCKLEY POTTERIES WALK
Once nearly every family in Buckley had some connection with the Pottery industry. Today little more remains of this once flourishing activity than the small whitewashed cottages of the potters, the pits where they dug their clay and the overgrown hummocks that mark the position of their kilns and waste heaps.
The trail is designed to pinpoint a number of sites where the remnants of the pottery industry can still be traced - remnants that form an important part of the industrial heritage of Buckley.
