6.Out of the churchyard and into Etna Road we come to the site of the last of the working potteries - Hayes' Pottery which closed in 1942. The pottery, now demolished, stood to the south of the road beneath the modern houses, while the outline of clay pans and sluices can still be seen in the woods to the east of the churchyard.
