4.On down Church Road, gates and gateposts mark the point where the first standard gauge railway crossed the road, linking Buckley with Connah's Quay. (2004-long demolished; now Park Walk)
5.In St. Matthew's Churchyard a pottery grave monument to the south east of the church commemorates the death in 1876 of little Hannah Krohn. Pottery was used for making all sorts of things including chimney pots, garden seats and a wide range of household items.
