Elijah, son of Thomas (born at Argoed) and Margaret, was Benjamin Griffiths' father. This is my great-great-grandfather's last will and testament. He died in an explosion at the Nant Mawr Colliery.

In Her Majesty's Court of Probate.
Be it known, that on the twenty first day of May 1875, the last Will and Testament, hereunto annexed, of Elijah Griffiths, late of Bistree in the parish of Mold in the County of Flint
Collier deceased, who died on the 23rd day of November 1874 at Leeds in the County of York, and who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at Bistree aforesaid within the District of the Counties of Flint Denbigh and was proved, and registered in the District Registry attached to Her Majesty's Court of Probate at St Asaph and that administration of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid court to
ANN GRIFFITHS Widow Relict of the deceased the sole Executrix
named in the said Will, she having been first sworn well and faithfully to administer the same, by paying the just debts of the deceased and the legacies contained in his will and to exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said estate and effects, and to render a just and true account thereof whenever required by law so to do.

This is the Last Will and Testament
of me
Elijah Griffiths of Bistree in the Parish of Mold in the County of Flint Collier, I give devise and bequeath all my real and personal Estate of whatever nature or kind soever unto my wife Ann Griffiths absolutely and I appoint my said wife sole executrix hereof. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 17 day of November 1874.
