SIGN FOR THE CONTRUCTION OF THE NEW SWIMMING POOL SITUATED AT THE SIDE OF THE ELFED HIGH SCHOOL AND THE SPORTS CENTRE.

Building work was started in the Spring of 2004 and the archive team undertook to record the progress of the building during its construction. This was an important development for Buckley as the old Baths had come to the end of their useful life. They had served the community well.

The two signs represent Flintshire County Council who had undertaken to pay for the pool and R. L. Davies & Son, Builders. It was situated on the junction of Mill Lane and the road to the Elfed School.
