"LINDOP: a family history Vol. 2" by John B Lindop

The Chester Chronicle states that John, of Kinnerton Hall, married Elizabeth Mainwaring, daughter of John Mainwaring, Esq., Oxton, Cheshire, at the Parish Church, Woodchurch on 11th November 1847.

John Mainwaring and John's father, Samuel Lindop, were both farmers.

Samuel was married to Mary and they farmed at Gwersyllt; they had another son, called Thomas, born 29th May 1913.

John Lindop's son-in-law was George Thomas.

(The 1891 census states his age as 75)
