1920
This photograph is believed to have been taken in Buckley but neither the location nor the event it commemorates is known.
Is the photograph recording damage caused by an accident or alternatively are the premises being demolished?
From observations received to date it is suggested that the large flywheel to the left of the photograph, the eighteen inch thick walls of the building and the belt-driven pulley indicate the machinery was steam-powered.
It is also suggested that the gaps between the slates on the roof of the single storey building were for ventilation purposes so what would it have held?
Any information please to the Buckley Society.
