Hawkesbury Garden, Mill Lane, Buckley

1952

The Buckley Rovers Football Team was formed under the auspices of the B.Y.P.C A., funded by the pantomime. They played where the Elfed School is today on the site of Ysgol Belmont. In WWII this was the "Dig for Victory" field where Saint Matthew's School pupils went to plant vegetables for the war effort.
