The Cross Keys Inn was formerly the Nickson family's dairy farm and pub. Now greatly extended taking in former barn on right and part of cobbler's shop site on left. The house on extreme right was built on the farm garden by George Nickson. Where the red car is parked is the site of the cow byre.
I remember Tommy Nickson as licensee. Every time someone entered the pub, he would say, "Man come in!"
